At Joanna Snow Ministries, we believe healthy relationships have the power to change lives.
Our mission is to help people experience greater emotional, relational, and spiritual health by strengthening their relationships with God, with themselves, and with one another.
We create opportunities for people to heal, grow, connect, and develop the tools they need to build healthier lives and relationships.
Relationship Is at the Heart of Everything We Do
Life doesn't happen in isolation. Our experiences shape how we see ourselves. Our relationships influence how we experience the world. Hurt can change the way we trust, communicate, connect, and respond to the people around us. But relationships can also become places of healing. We believe people need safe places to be known, supported, challenged, encouraged, and reminded that they don't have to navigate life alone. That's why relationship isn't simply one of our programs.
It's the foundation of our mission.

We Help People Heal.
Through professional counseling, we walk alongside children, teens, adults, couples, and families navigating emotional, relational, and life challenges. We believe meaningful change often begins by understanding what is happening beneath the surface—recognizing patterns, processing experiences, developing healthier skills, and creating new ways of responding to ourselves and others.
We Help People Connect.
We believe people were created for meaningful relationships—not isolation. Through Friendship in Mobile, groups, events, prayer, and other opportunities to gather, we intentionally create spaces where people can meet, build friendships, experience belonging, and develop authentic community. Because sometimes what a person needs isn't another appointment.
Sometimes they need people.
We Meet People Where They Are.
Our mission doesn't stop at the doors of our counseling center.
We work to make counseling accessible to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, including those who have lost jobs, single parents, children, older adults, and people without insurance. We also take counseling, groups, resources, and life-skills development beyond our walls through community partnerships serving women and children transitioning out of homelessness and housing instability in Mobile, Alabama.
If someone needs help, we want to find a way to meet them where they are.
We Create Tools for Growth.
We know that healing and growth don't only happen during a counseling session. That's why we create practical resources that people can take into everyday life—workbooks, classes, podcasts, products, and other tools designed to encourage reflection, strengthen relationships, begin meaningful conversations, and support continued growth.

We envision communities where people have access to the support they need, relationships become healthier, families become stronger, people experiencing hardship are not forgotten, and no one has to navigate life's most difficult seasons alone. We want to see people move beyond simply surviving. We want to see people heal, grow, connect, discover purpose, and build relationships that bring life rather than take it away. And we believe that kind of change reaches beyond one person. Healthier individuals influence families. Healthier families influence communities. And stronger communities create places where more people have the opportunity to thrive.
Why We Keep Showing Up
Whether we're sitting with someone in a counseling room, helping a couple reconnect, supporting a child, gathering people around a table, walking alongside a woman rebuilding her life, teaching practical skills, or placing a resource into someone's hands, the heart behind our work remains the same:
