Seeking Counseling Interns
Are you a graduate student in a counseling program who is looking for a mental health counseling practicum or internship placement?
We take interviews through out the year and bring on interns in the Spring, Summer and Fall semesters.
Joanna Snow Ministries, Inc, is looking for self-motivated counseling students who are willing to learn from a seasoned counselor in a private practice setting. Located in Downtown Mobile, Joanna Snow Ministries, Inc, provides counseling for all ages, couples, groups, trauma, and relationship-focused counseling.
Indirect hours can be met by helping with office-related tasks, preparing treatment plans, managing client intake needs, and learning about various therapeutic approaches. Direct hours are made in this team setting by observing other counselors, leading groups, and by working individually with your clients, while building a client base of your own. Each intern has the opportunity to engage in finding their own counselor identity while working with different client populations.
This office focuses on research-based approaches such as Sand tray, Gottman method, EFT, EMDR and trauma focused approaches.
