Helping People Build Healthier Lives and Relationships
Joanna Snow, MA, LPC-S, is the founder of Joanna Snow Ministries, Inc., a faith-based nonprofit committed to helping people heal, grow, connect, and build healthier relationships. For more than 25 years, Joanna has worked alongside people through the complicated parts of life—relationships, family struggles, trauma, loss, faith, emotional health, leadership, and seasons of significant change.
Over the years, one thing became increasingly clear: people rarely struggle in only one area of life. Emotional health affects relationships. Relationships affect families. Isolation affects mental health. Life circumstances can make healing harder. And sometimes people need more than counseling—they need community, practical support, meaningful resources, and people willing to walk alongside them. That understanding helped shape Joanna Snow Ministries.
More Than a Counseling Practice
What began with a desire to help people heal has grown into a nonprofit that approaches well-being from several directions. Through counseling, community-building, outreach, education, and practical resources, Joanna Snow Ministries works to help people not only get through difficult seasons, but build healthier lives and relationships moving forward.
Joanna believes meaningful change often happens when people have both the tools to grow and the relationships that help them keep growing. That belief can be seen throughout JSM—from the counseling office to community groups, outreach partnerships, educational resources, and programs designed to reach people who might otherwise go without support.
Counseling & Clinical Leadership
Joanna is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Counseling Supervisor in Alabama. She provides counseling to adults and couples and works extensively with complex relationship concerns, trauma, emotional health, and significant life transitions. She also provides clinical supervision and helps train and develop emerging counselors.
Her approach is practical, relational, and individualized. Rather than assuming one method works for everyone, Joanna draws from evidence-based counseling approaches while considering the whole person—their experiences, relationships, values, circumstances, and goals. For clients who desire it, faith can also be meaningfully incorporated into the counseling process.
The Vision Behind JSM
Joanna's vision for JSM continues to extend beyond what happens inside a counseling office. She believes healthier communities are built through healthier people and healthier relationships—and that meaningful support should be available in the places people actually live, work, struggle, connect, and rebuild.
That vision continues to shape the work of Joanna Snow Ministries today.
Healthy People. Healthy Relationships. Stronger Communities.
