By the Words of your Testimony!
I enjoy hearing great stories of triumph! It is encouraging to dive into the lives of those who have walked against impossible circumstances and accomplished great things. It is the stories of these great people that have filled and inspired my journey.
Often, we see only the wins of others but do not realize the moments of defeat they walked through to get to where they are. In the future, I will be sharing my journey on the JSM page for encouragement to those who are walking ahead or behind me. Why? you might ask.
Because there is power in sharing our journey with others. Our stories can bring about courage in those around us! Our stories cannot be denied! Our testimonies of victories can light the path for someone else who is struggling to find their way! We often hear the word “testimony” and think about sharing the story about when we came to know the Lord, which is impactful, but I am talking about accounts of how God is present in our lives today. I do not think we share these stories enough!
We need to hear specific ways that God is active and alive today, moving in our midst. Stories of open doors that once were shut. Stories of the journey towards your calling. Stories about seasons of grief and how the Lord made Himself known. Stories about the seasons of transition in life. I could continue down a list of other possibilities, but I think you get the picture! God is ever-present in the step we are on today, waiting to share His heart with us and give us words of life and encouragement! What is your "today" testimony?
Then I heard a loud voice shouting across the heavens, “It has happened at last! God’s salvation and the power and the rule, and the authority of his Christ are finally here; for the Accuser of our brothers has been thrown down from heaven onto earth—he accused them day and night before our God. They defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony; for they did not love their lives but laid them down for him.
