Support of friends and colleagues is so important. When we are going through difficult times, it is often easier if we have someone with us to encourage us when we are tired, to give us advice, or sometimes just to sit in silence with us. As we read the Bible, we see many people who needed support, so it's not new. In the beginning, Eve was created so that Adam could have a helpmate. God said it was not good for Adam to be alone. Elijah and Elisha needed each other, as did Naomi and Ruth. God knew that Moses needed Aaron, even though Aaron could be a little wishy-washy. Paul had Barnabus and Onesimus, and probably numerous unnamed others. David had Jonathan first, and then Nathan the prophet, although Nathan's truths sometimes were uncomfortable for David. God shows us Biblical patterns in which people need others. It is ok to lean on others for support. Who do we at JSM lean on? You, our members! Why? God has poured out so many thoughts, ideas, and plans for this ministry. We know that we are just scratching the surface of what God intends for this ministry to do. God wants us to reach out to the underserved, the underloved, and the misunderstood. To do that, we need your support!
